The Store Regional Manager will oversee a fleet of 5-10 Wayfair stores. As part of the global Physical Retail leadership team, you will be part of one of Wayfair’s most exciting growth stories. We are seeking an experienced retail leader who can lead a fleet of large-format operating stores, evolve the operating model to drive continuous performance improvements, while opening new stores at a rapid pace. You and your store manager team will partner with home office merchandising and operations teams to deliver results and drive the overall retail store agenda. You will be accountable for the end-to-end operations and overall performance for the stores in your region, leading a team of 250+ store leaders and associates to deliver on-brand, best-in-class sales, service, and operations to deliver the best experience for your customers. You will lead your teams by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to business metrics that include sales productivity, inventory flow, labor planning, customer and employee satisfaction, and safety, among others. You will play a vital role in maintaining a vibrant team culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, and fun. This role will report directly to the Head of Stores and is a key member of the global Wayfair Stores leadership team that will help craft the playbook to stand up and scale future stores in North America and internationally. The salary range for this position is $164,303 - $186,708 plus a performance bonus, with base pay offered depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. What You’ll Do Drive Regional Sales Performance: Lead a portfolio of stores to exceed ambitious sales goals by developing and executing scalable strategies that inspire teams and consistently deliver results.Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: Recruit, train, and develop top talent across your region, building strong succession plans and exporting leaders into broader company roles, including corporate and new store openings.Deliver a Best-in-Class Customer Experience: Champion a customer-obsessed culture by leading consultative, design-driven sales experiences and leveraging omni-channel tools to bring our brand to life in stores.Partner with Wayfair corporate teams and leadership to surface and prioritize the most critical challenges, build the store operating playbook, and architect scalable technology, tools, and processes that enable fleet growth and deliver against sales and profitability targets.Build B2B and Community Relationships: Actively engage with local communities, designers, businesses, and trade professionals to drive B2B partnerships, in-store events, and clienteling opportunities that grow market share and brand awareness.Ensure Operational Excellence: Guide store leaders in executing standard operating procedures, identifying process improvements, and maintaining smooth, customer-centric operations through proactive problem-solving.Create a Culture of Accountability and Engagement: Foster a high-performing, collaborative environment through clear goal-setting, continuous feedback, and active listening to team and customer input.Elevate Brand Representation: Serve as an authentic brand ambassador by exemplifying professionalism and polished communication, consistently representing Wayfair’s family of brands with pride and expertise.Enhance Customer Loyalty through In-Store Programming: Oversee regional strategies that drive customer retention and brand engagement through design consultations, workshops, events, and other immersive in-store experiences. Qualifications And Special Skills Preferred 10+ years of retail leadership experience, preferably 3-5 of which were spent as a multi-unit leader, regional director, or similar role with demonstrated ability to lead a fleet of stores and partner with corporate teams.Experience launching new retail locations or building a retail model “from the ground up”10+ years of people management experience.Home furnishings and/or consultative selling experience.Experience in directing store operations and managing large budgets.Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up hypotheses and implement effective solutions.Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results such as a store or fleet performance turnaround, successfully opening one or more new locations, or making fundamental improvements to a retail operating model.Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and develop high-performing teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Passion for Wayfair and committed to delighting customers.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Please understand due to the nature of the retail industry, your shift schedule will vary. Our store hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and Sundays 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Employee shifts may include an hour before or after store hours and will regularly include weekends and holidays.
