About the role

This is a unique opportunity to step into a dynamic floater role supporting clinics in our newest and fastest-growing region. You'll work independently across multiple MFM clinical settings, filling shifts throughout Spokane, WA primarily, with occasional coverage in Richland, WA and Moses Lake, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sonographic procedures.
  • Cover a variety of clinical settings; including low-risk and MFM sites, outreach clinics.
  • Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history.
  • Create reports to assist the physician with documentation.
  • Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out patient/fetus anomalies.
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physician.
  • Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis.
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
  • Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
  • Other duties assigned by managers.

Requirements

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty.
  • Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE).
  • 1+ year of MFM, high-risk OB sonography experience.
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty.
  • Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound.
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems.
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members.
  • Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study.

Skills

  • Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens and risk assessment.
