Regional School Counselor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling sessions and classroom support to general education students, and special education students, as well as monitor the students’ responses to the interventions identified.
• Deliver crisis response and intervention services to students, families and staff, when needed.
• Serve in a consultative role with designated personnel to offer prevention and intervention strategies related to learning and behavioral problems of students; and provide consultation on an ongoing basis to teachers, parents, and other school personnel to resolve students’ learning and behavioral problems.
• Aid in identifying needed community resources for students and make appropriate referrals to resources to facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success.
• Establish relationships with both students and parents and participate in all aspects of school planning including supporting students in identifying target high schools and completing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid school counselor license issued in the state you are applying.
