Regional Sales Representative

Responsibilities
- Identify, initiate, and develop profitable business opportunities for HCC Life within the assigned marketing region.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and brokers to foster additional business opportunities.
- Write correspondence and attend trade shows to promote new business.
- Conduct sales calls to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Manage and increase existing blocks of business by developing strong relationships with TPAs and brokers.
- Resolve client issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and maintain a database of current and prospective producers.
- Negotiate fees with clients to close new and renewal business.
- Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends to identify market characteristics.
- Gather information from utilization review and managed care organizations to develop stop-loss pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of producer quote ratios, close ratios, renewal persistency, and loss ratios.
- Adapt marketing strategies as needed to serve as a liaison between the Claims department and new TPA producers during the approval process.
- Implement specific marketing strategies and materials.
- Ensure sound working relationships with clients and other company departments by acting as the point of contact.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant and progressive professional marketing/sales experience.
- 4 years of experience in Business Administration or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to the applicable area of the Company's business.
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant and progressive professional marketing/sales experience.
- Skills: Solid written and verbal communication skills, advanced organizational and analytical skills, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $74,340 - $90,860, depending on the candidate's location, qualifications, and work experience. The Company is committed to providing a competitive salary and benefits package.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
- May be required to move and/or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
- May be required to move up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other devices.
- Frequent travel (50% of time or more) may be required.
