Brief Description

We are seeking a Regional Sales Representative based in Jacksonville, FL to support the surrounding area with full-cycle electrical solutions. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, this role involves growing existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and engaging in sales and marketing activities.

About the Role

This position requires 3+ years of sales or industry experience, familiarity with electrical power systems and technical services, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates must have experience in sales tools, territory management, and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations Leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Analyze potential customers to determine profitability and suitability.
  • Maintain proactive and purposeful new sales development activities with potential clients.
  • Sell technical expertise to Operational Leaders and Project Managers.
  • Support and work collaboratively with other sales team members to leverage activities in other regions.
  • Understand and continuously enhance the underlying technology used by the company to deliver services.
  • Perform Account Management duties for an assigned portfolio of key accounts.
  • Develop and maintain Key Account Management plans.
  • Build and maintain mutually favorable business/personal relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior level personnel at key client organizations.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to ensure alignment of sales efforts.
  • Conduct market surveys to uncover and facilitate the pursuit of new business opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive surveys/analysis to determine business base, personnel, strengths, weaknesses, and use that information to focus sales efforts.
  • Consult with Operations and Senior Management on market development strategies and capability improvement needed to better meet current and anticipated marketplace opportunities.
  • Aid the Marketing Manager with the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and goal setting for the region.
  • Lead account planning sessions aimed at retaining and acquiring customers and increasing business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Sales or Industry Experience
  • Experience with electrical power systems and/or technical and engineering services
  • Strong background with the acquisition, retention, and re-engagement of customers
  • Experience in development of sales tools, territory and pipeline management
  • Strong knowledge of sales systems and tracking and utilization of sales related data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management, organization and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Experience with CRM and Estimation/Quoting platforms as well as other Microsoft Office applications
  • Drive for continuous self-improvement and learning
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to travel at least 60% of the time (throughout region Nationally, if required)
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference check

Qualifications

Must have a current valid driver's license and be able to maintain a good driving record.

Skills

Must have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
