About the role
To assist in overall revenue generation and relationship management of clients by efficiently making outgoing sales calls to the prospect and client base and handling incoming leads.
Responsibilities
- Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information.

- Actively work with clients within an assigned geographical territory to generate sales through strong call activity and periodic face-to-face presentations (up to 25% travel required).
- Handle incoming calls and orders for all RPS products and services.
- Document call activity for inbound and outbound calls accurately.
- Build and maintain essential relationships with a large client base, providing excellent customer service.
- Make assigned calls within prescribed timeframes.
- Respond to client inquiries urgently.
- Initiate and follow up with customers to sell, resolve problems, answer questions, and provide correspondence and reports as needed.
- Use a consultative selling approach and fact-finding scripts to effectively prospect for new business.
- Generate sales by maximizing call activity and continuously developing product and market knowledge.
- Attend training sessions, meetings, and industry conferences.
- Read and file product information in a timely manner.
- Evaluate market information, including annual reports, news articles, and market publications.
- Pursue competitive intelligence and utilize it in the sales process.
- Develop the full potential of each account.
- Collaborate with all members of the Ascensus sales organization as a team.
- Contribute to team management through a strong work ethic and team communication.
- Update databases, document client information, and complete account documentation as requested.
- Efficiently use systems (AS400, Enterprise-Lotus Notes, Word, Internet, etc.) and procedures to document workflow and progress.
- Fulfill the sales process as defined: prospecting, interviewing, presenting, proposing, contracting, and closing sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- Sales experience.
- Computer knowledge required.
- Customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Goal-driven and career-minded.
- Knowledge of the financial industry and retirement plans is desired.
Pay
The national average salary range for this role is $60,000–$80,000 in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. Actual salary offered may vary based on factors including location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment.
