About the role
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving regional business growth and achieving sales objectives through effective leadership, coaching, and performance management of First Line Managers and field sales teams. The role focuses on developing and executing regional business strategies, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring sustainable business growth in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Achieve regional sales, market share, and growth objectives through effective execution of sales strategies.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and monitor business performance against agreed targets.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability by identifying business opportunities within the assigned region.
- Review territory performance and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor monitoring, and business opportunity assessments.
- Develop and implement regional business plans, including territory mapping and market expansion initiatives.
- Identify emerging market trends and recommend strategies to capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Ensure effective execution of promotional campaigns and commercial initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop First Line Managers and field force teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Business Leaders (KBLs), institutional customers, and strategic accounts.
- Strengthen stakeholder engagement to support sustainable business growth and market development.
- Provide regular market intelligence, customer insights, competitor activities, and business updates to management.
- Build and maintain relationships with professional bodies, trade associations, healthcare institutions, and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, ethical standards, and business processes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales, sales management, and coaching.
- Proven skills in sales strategy development, sales support, pharmacy sales, and sales acumen.
