Regional Sales Manager, Heavy Truck & Equipment
Territory: Northern Indiana, USA – Field-based, permanent, full-time role.
About the role
As Regional Sales Manager you will sell best-in-class heavy vocational trucks and equipment across your territory, acting as both product ambassador and customer solution-provider. The position requires frequent travel within Northern Indiana to conduct product demonstrations and consult with new and existing customers on their heavy-equipment needs. Municipal and government-agency experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive full-cycle sales activities to meet and exceed year-over-year territory targets.
- Partner with the Inside Sales team for administrative and customer support.
- Collaborate with service and parts teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Prospect, build, and maintain new customer relationships throughout the territory.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training for customers.
- Attend industry events, training, and trade shows to stay current on products and represent the company.
- Prepare sales forecasts and territory reports.
- Use CRM to capture customer and sales data per internal processes.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support business goals.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Outside sales experience, ideally in heavy equipment or heavy truck industry.
- Proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Understanding of the full sales cycle from quote to delivery.
- Experience working with governmental agencies and municipalities.
- Mechanical aptitude or prior exposure to heavy equipment/heavy truck environments is an asset.
