Core Objectives
- Accomplishes regional sales objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts.
- Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews job contributions; plans and reviews compensation actions; enforces policies and procedures.
- Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
- Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
- Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of sales leadership experience with direct responsibility for quota-carrying sellers.
- Strong coaching, performance management, and team leadership skills.
- Prioritizes consistent achievement or exceeding of sales targets.
- Experience leading regional or multi-branch sales teams.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and presentations.
