About the role

As a Regional Sales Leader within PNC's Business Banking organization, you will be based in the Indianapolis Market. You will coach team members on the skills needed to analyze, evaluate, and mitigate risk, and lead the team on credit requests by utilizing advanced knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies. The role involves motivating and developing team members while monitoring progress against individual goals. In conjunction with key service partners, you will provide support and coaching to focus on customers' overall financial well-being, leading to a best-in-class banking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct a team to achieve business results and customer experience goals, with possible direct sales and client responsibilities.
  • Oversee the execution of strategy and coordinate daily activities of team members engaged in customer and/or prospect management.
  • Achieve business results by coaching and managing team members to defined strategies and tactics, developing and executing account and sales plans.
  • Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and/or existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating different types of risk (regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks).
  • Build and maintain an effective network of senior internal and external relationships to acquire new clients and/or expand existing clients, enhancing the client experience.
  • Leverage reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and convert sales opportunities.
  • Develop team members, monitor progress against individual goals, and motivate staff, including acquiring top talent and managing performance-based issues.
  • Plan, organize, direct, analyze, and evaluate staff and processes, connecting strategy to day-to-day activities.
  • Coach team members on analyzing, evaluating, and mitigating credit risk, and leading others on credit requests using advanced knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated skills in account management, client prospecting, competitive advantages, customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, negotiation, and results-orientation.
  • Competencies in conflict management, decision-making and critical thinking, effective communications, managing multiple priorities, sales management, and selling.
  • Typically requires a university/college degree; higher-level education such as a Master's degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable.
  • Industry experience of typically 8+ years, with at least 5 years of prior management experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
