Regional Resource Nurse (RN)

About the role

The Regional Resource Nurse (RN) supports skilled nursing facilities throughout the Madison, Wisconsin region. This role provides interim clinical leadership and nursing support, assists with operational needs, supports regulatory readiness, and helps facilities maintain exceptional standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim clinical leadership and nursing support at skilled nursing facilities throughout the Madison region.
• Cover nursing leadership positions as needed, including Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing responsibilities.
• Support nursing teams with clinical oversight, education, coaching, and mentorship.
• Aid facilities with survey readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to identify opportunities for improving clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Promote person-centered care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
• Build positive relationships with interdisciplinary teams and provide hands-on clinical support when needed.
• Travel throughout the assigned region based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of skilled nursing or long-term care experience required.
• Previous nursing leadership experience required.
• Director of Nursing (DON) experience strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and effectively lead diverse clinical teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Madison, Wisconsin region.
