Regional Renovation Specialist

About the Role

The Regional Renovation Specialist travels between Health Club Facilities within their Region and performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and education tasks in conjunction with local team members to maintain the facility in a healthy, clean, and orderly standard. The role involves assisting in educating club staff on proper cleaning procedures and methods. The team typically consists of up to four members who work together across various Health Club locations.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and dusts walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors in all areas of the club, including locker rooms, weight area, cardio, office space, hallways, and stairs.
• Cleans and dusts all weight and cardio equipment.
• Restocks supplies and assesses the upkeep of the supply room.
• Empties clubs' garbage and recycling containers.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
• Cleans and maintains wet areas of the club, if applicable (e.g., cleaning pool deck, vacuuming pool, cleaning steam room and sauna, and conducting regular pool chemical testing). Not all clubs have wet areas.
• Performs minor cosmetic repairs on equipment (e.g., rust removal, touch-up paint, re-labeling).
• Partners with Facility Technician to perform cleaning duties on equipment as outlined in the preventative maintenance guide.
• Performs minor painting as approved/directed by Regional Operations Manager and/or District Manager.
• Uses all janitorial supplies in accordance with product labels and club manuals.
• Reports all newly identified facility maintenance issues via Service Channel.
• Works with local club team members to educate them on proper cleaning procedures and methods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Six months of janitorial experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Effective communication (verbal and writing skills).
• Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms.
• Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to communicate via telephone with internal and external members.
• Required usage of cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.

Travel

Travel between clubs to service multiple facilities within the region is required.

Pay

• Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County, and Seattle: $41,860.00–$52,325.00 (Exempt), $20.13–$25.16 (Non-Exempt).
• Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (including New Jersey): $43,680.00–$54,600.00 (Exempt), $21.00–$26.25 (Non-Exempt).
• Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $39,312.00–$49,140.00 (Exempt), $18.90–$23.63 (Non-Exempt).
