Regional Relationship Banker I

About the role

Travel to various branches within the assigned region to work as a substitute for Relationship Banker during absences, including vacations and emergency situations. Provide operational support, cross-sell bank products/services, and resolve customer service issues.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and withdrawals.
• Reconcile and balance teller cash drawer.
• Process outgoing wires.
• Manage Safe Deposit box operations (entry, opening, maintenance).
• Assist customers with problem resolution.
• Balance ATMs.
• Report fraudulent or suspicious activities using BSA reporting forms.
• Open new accounts and refer customers to other areas of the bank.
• Provide quality personalized customer service.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services.
• Maintain open communication with Bank business partners and make referrals as appropriate.
• Support branch new business promotions.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred or related work experience.
• Experience: 6-12 months of cash handling, customer service in a retail environment, or sales experience preferred. Banking experience is a plus.
• Skills: Availability to work any shift matching the branch banking hours and/or staffing needs, willingness to work a flexible schedule, willingness to travel to multiple locations as business needs arise, desire to learn the banking industry, help others, and work in a professional environment, PC literate and typing proficient, previous experience with data entry, 10-key, banking software, and Microsoft Office applications, detail-oriented and organized with good note-taking and follow-up skills, good oral and written communication skills, good listening and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to give and receive feedback to improve skills and job knowledge, maintain good attendance and arrive consistently at scheduled start time.
• Languages: Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred.
