Job Description
Day to Day tactical responsibilities
- Reports to PMO Regional Lead
- Accountable for driving a consistent project delivery approach on PMO projects in region
- Support and establish working relationships with regional Portfolio Managers & Strategic Negotiators to understand and deliver their projects’ needs
- Develop, deliver, and drive continuous improvement through service development and innovation
- Liaise with site contractors to ensure schedule, project execution plan, quality, and deliverables are all aligned per agreements and client expectations
- Engage with periodic project performance assessments and report findings at a project and regional level
- Drive and promote safety, security, environmental awareness
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Prepare and issue Recommendations (Scope, invoices, changes, etc.)
- Preparation of Contracts supporting documentation including SOW, Work order, Amendments
- Upload Contract(s) to Simba and follow through until Legal approval is obtained and DocuSign
- Obtain approval and submit via Skyvine: Commercial spend, bonds, deeds, invoices
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Strategic responsibilities
- Identify project’s risks and oversee region-wide risk management
- Maintaining awareness/oversight and QC for RPM’s projects (outside of their own)
- Strategic planning to achieve projects’ goals
- Implement KPIs to forecast and analyze project performance
- Implement lessons learnt and identify opportunities for improvement
- Review and assess pipeline projects and plan RFP strategy accordingly to ensure competitive bidding where appropriate.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in project management and construction management
- Experience in large scale infrastructure and utilities construction projects
- Working technical knowledge of utilities networks and data center interaction/demands on them
- Experience working throughout the construction project life cycle from inception to completion
- Proactive and creative problem solving skills
- Experience in project management of complex and high budget projects
Nice-to-have skillsets
- Detailed understanding of technical aspects of utilities networks
- Stakeholder management, specifically in regard to uncompromising third parties
- Contract management and negotiation
- PMP Designation
