About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction professional to help build and manage our Dallas operations while delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. Senior office or field construction industry professionals encouraged to apply. Strong technical construction knowledge required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and manage relationships with local subcontractors, architects, and clients.
- Ensure project success by managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor other staff members.
- Facilitate project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to keep projects on track.
- Uphold Koester Construction’s values and high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management preferred
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, coaching, and mentoring
- Expert knowledge in construction means, methods, and techniques
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam)
- Proven ability to manage projects budgets and control costs effectively
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate with diverse project teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Self-starter mentality with the drive to help build and grow our new regional office
