Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for profitability of region, with heavy influence on parts, service, and customer relationships.
  • Works closely with responsible department managers to ensure all company policies are being upheld while maintaining profitability based on approved revenue and expense budgets.
  • Advises and provides recommendations to Vice President of Product Support with respect to the best interests of the Parts Department, Service Department, and PSSR's.
  • Presents to Parts, Service, and PSSR's reasonable annual objectives for their respective Departments - company goals as well as individual department goals.
  • Ensures authorized policies and procedures are carried out by Product Support Departments.
  • Responsible for Product Support Departments achieving profitability and KPI metrics.
  • In conjunction with Vice President of Product Support and the Corporate Resource Group, mentor Parts and Service Managers within the region.
  • Analyzes and provides recommendations regarding market pricing in relation to labor and wage rates.
  • Manages and directs PSSR's within region.
  • In conjunction with Vice President of Product Support, analyzes and establishes proper PSSR coverage for the region.
  • Makes recommendations for changes to policies and procedures to grow product support sales volume and income contribution.
  • Works with Corporate Operations Department Managers to ensure continuity and to address specific regional needs.
  • Regularly communicates with corporate resources to address market needs and maximize business opportunities.
  • Makes necessary actions to ensure proper training support for Product Support Departments.
  • Interfaces with manufacturer district representatives to improve revenue and recovery rates and evaluates business opportunities.
  • Partners and interfaces with sales department (new, rental, and used) personnel to coordinate and assist in the sales effort.
  • Safeguards a balance between customer, warranty, and internal revenue.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Warranty Department to ensure proper adherence to the warranty process and recovery of warranty dollars.
  • Ensures target gross and net operating profits are achieved by each department in assigned region.
  • Affords assistance with onboarding of additional lines of equipment or changes in present lines.
  • Evaluates performance and expenses of each manager.
  • Budgets and makes recommendations regarding manager compensation.
  • Maintains monitoring of regional performance through Power BI, CDK, and other available management tools.
  • Participates in industry related functions as necessary.

Additional Overview

  • Assists Vice President of Product Support in all planning discussions and execution within region.
  • Identifies and develops all customers in the Roads and Aggregate area of responsibility.
  • Builds relationships with both internal and external customers in territory.
  • Attends manufacturer support training classes and industry association functions.
  • Supports internal training classes as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma, Preferred a Four-year college or Two-year technical degree.
  • Minimum Experience: 5-year minimum Heavy Equipment Management / Product Support role.
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Excel & Word).
  • Must have dealer Parts and Service operations experience.
