Overview

Evident Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and passionate problem solver to join the Regional (Americas) Life Science Microscopy Product Management team as a Product Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their optical microscopic/imaging systems product portfolio, developing and executing product strategies, and driving the growth for their microscope product lines.

Job Description

  • Primary function is to own accountability of responsible product at regional level in terms of revenue, unit sales and gross margin. PM works as cross-functional lead for maximizing them. To achieve this, PM supports sales activities, product promotion and training, and other activities to ensure the success of their microscopic product lines.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Management to conduct market research and sales analysis including identifying customer needs, performing user testing, and collecting competitive intelligence from internal and external data.
  • Execute new product launches including training, demonstration equipment management, and collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to ensure launch readiness.
  • Work closely with Application Specialists to support high value opportunities from evaluating customer needs, performing product demonstrations, assisting with product configuration, and meeting regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on microscopic hardware, software and imaging analysis, as well as internal company systems.
  • Manage supplier relationships including pricing, part management, and co-marketing.
  • Produce internal technical support and training materials
  • Manage and maintain support systems for their products including salesforce CPQ and reporting, and product knowledge database.
  • Travel to support conferences, tradeshows, and sales meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Biology or other scientific field required. Advanced degree holder preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse and global community are essential.
  • Must be a strong problem solver with a bias toward action – able to move quickly and decisively; has results-driven orientation.
  • Travel up to 25% expected.
  • Strong working knowledge of Optical Imaging Systems and Life Sciences, Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Two years of Life Science product management or sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with marketing communications preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
