Regional Pediatric Specialist - Colorado, Utah, California

About the role

The Pediatric Specialist will work alongside the Skeletal Dysplasia Sales team, focusing on patients living with Achondroplasia. This role requires a consultative selling approach and the ability to demonstrate credibility and build trust with multiple levels of decision-makers within healthcare provider offices. The Pediatric Specialist will also play a role in messaging with healthcare providers who have current patients on therapy.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for achieving territory goals measured in referrals and new prescriptions with Pediatric/Generalist HCPs
• Grow new Achondroplasia sites and educate clinicians on the importance of consistent treatment (regionally)
• Drive awareness of the product among assigned targeted HCPs
• Edit lead lists to ensure correct targets are reached at an appropriate frequency
• Validate HCPs are appropriate for product education and increase urgency to treat and/or refer in territory
• Track all related activities in CRM system to understand referral patterns
• Adhere to highly regulated industry standards, maintain training, policies, guidelines, and best judgment while adhering to company policies.
• Work with BMRN Regional Directors on prioritizing clinics for continued education in smaller markets
• Manage a multi-state territory with diverse customer base, including overnight travel ranging from 30%-50%

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of pharma experience, preferably in primary care call points
• Pediatrics/Generalists experience strongly preferred
• Comparable and/or strong B2B experience with a desire to enter pharma (device, diagnostics background)
• Cold calling experience in healthcare or previous work experience
• Experience with office-based selling in a complex model of referral-healthcare-providers to prescriber-healthcare-providers in newly created markets
• Experience working in a field team model with account managers
