Regional Outreach Manager, Behavioral Health
About the role
As the Regional Field Supervisor, you will lead a team of field-based individuals who are the primary "boots on the ground" connecting with individuals in the community. You are responsible for the daily coordination, performance, and professional development of your team.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of field-based individuals to maximize their abilities to reach patients and create access to behavioral health services.
- Field Leadership & Coaching: Direct and mentor a team of Outreach Liaisons and Facilitated Telehealth Coordinators. Conduct regular "ride-alongs" and field visits to provide real-time coaching on engagement techniques, safety protocols, and professionalism.
- Data-Driven Management: Monitor team activity and engagement metrics daily via our dashboards. Use this data to identify high-traffic outreach zones, address performance gaps, and report on the overall health of the market.
- Market Strategy & Logistics: Identify and vet community-based locations (PCP offices, community centers, shelters, local agencies) for effective outreach. Manage the team’s schedule to ensure consistent, high-impact presence across the market.
- Operational Excellence: Streamline the transition of information from the field to our internal enrollment systems. Ensure all data collected by the team is accurate, timely, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Hiring & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment and training of new team members as the market scales, ensuring they are deeply rooted in the community and aligned with Author Health’s mission.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of outreach materials and travel plans to ensure the team has the tools necessary to succeed in the field.
- Conduct strategic in-person outreach to doctor's offices, hospitals, and patients' homes to educate potential patients, caregivers, and providers about Author Health's mission and services.
- Navigate complex healthcare and social service systems to effectively guide patients through care options.
Requirements
- Seasoned Manager: At least 5 years of experience in front-line management, specifically leading field-based teams in community health, social services, or mobile operations.
- Data-Fluent: Comfortable using technology to drive results. Can look at a dashboard, identify a trend, and pivot the team’s daily plan based on what the numbers are saying.
- Accountability: Comfortable holding yourself and your team responsible for targets and outcomes.
- Local Resident: Resides in the same market as the staff you supervise. Knows the neighborhoods, the local challenges, and the geography of the region intimately.
- Mission-Oriented: Has a deep respect for the populations we serve (SMI, SUD, and dementia) and can foster an environment of empathy and resilience for your team.
- Organized & Independent: Thrives in a startup environment where you are expected to take ownership of your market’s operations with minimal daily oversight.
