Regional Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Operations Supervisor to provide operational leadership and field support across multiple utility vegetation management contracts. This role is designed for a highly adaptable leader who can step into complex operational environments, strengthen safety performance, and drive consistency across projects. You will serve as a key operational resource for Project Managers, Area Managers, field teams, and clients—supporting day-to-day execution, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contract requirements and ArborMetrics operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and support across multiple regional projects
• Serve as a flexible resource during staffing gaps and peak workloads
• Support onboarding and mobilization of new and existing contracts
• Partner with Project Managers to meet KPIs and client expectations
• Promote a strong safety culture across all work environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related field OR 2 years of direct UVM-related experience
• Strong safety, leadership, and utility operations background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of utility operations leadership experience
• Knowledge of UVM/IVM practices
• Environmental or regulatory field experience
• ISA Certification

Working Environment

Work with a team and alone; primarily in an outdoor field environment and/or low light conditions; foot patrol of energy corridors in the vicinity of power lines and/or pipelines; remote locations as well as urban, city environments. Physical demands and travel from site to site include:

• Walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, rocky, sandy, uneven, rough, unstable, steep terrain, hills, and slopes
• Dense vegetation
• Exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, and all types of weather extremes including snow, ice, fog, humidity, and low and high temperature conditions
• Exposure to hazardous traffic conditions, domestic and wild animals, insects, and poisonous plants
• Occasional work in a vehicle or limited time in an indoor office

Physical Requirements

The employee must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment, including:

• Walking up to 10 miles per day
• Standing, sitting, and operating a motor vehicle for prolonged periods
• Frequently stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, running, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and making repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder movements (e.g., forcefully beating down brush)
• Carrying, pushing, and/or pulling light to heavy amounts of weight, frequently lifting up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs. (e.g., sandbags)
• Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information with the public
• Ability to see and hear in normal range with or without correction
• Operating assigned field equipment, including handheld computer, range finder, fyrake, water backpack, shovel, and traffic cone
