Regional Operations Manager

This position requires regular regional travel to all markets up to 25 weeks per year. Highly considered candidates must have operations and installation management experience in the residential home improvement industry.

About the role

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation from contract to completion of project in our Mid-Atlantic region, covering Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri markets. This role manages a region consisting of multiple locations, maintaining communication with customers throughout the project and ensuring profitability. The position oversees permit acquisition, subcontractor management, scheduling, and revenue/profitability planning to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets. The Regional Operations Manager also addresses customer concerns, reviews difficult jobs, and ensures installations meet company quality and profitability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations management of multiple locations.
• Job and project management utilizing our in-house CRM system.
• Oversee implementation of our customer satisfaction process.
• Responsible for job profitability, job costing, budgeting, and meeting revenue/profitability targets.
• Recruit, hire, and train teams based on capacity needs, including the installation team.
• Oversee performance of teams and train them on proper procedures.
• Evaluate and monitor performance and quality standards of sub-contractors.
• Oversee training of proper installation procedures for all company products.
• Oversee and perform measures, breakouts, and order materials as needed.
• Ensure safety standards are reviewed and implemented.
• Meet with customers to review difficult and/or complicated jobs or solve service problems.
• Maintain a rolling 30-day installation schedule.
• Obtain permits, manage and schedule subcontractors, and handle all project scheduling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general management, preferably in the remodeling or residential construction industry.
• P&L responsibility preferred.
• Experienced in team building and management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Process-oriented with excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills.
• Experience dealing with multiple trades and sub-contractors.
• Competent in the use of technology; experience with MS Excel a plus.
• Must be able to travel (drive) to all locations regularly.

Pay

$80K - $85K base salary plus performance bonus (top regional operations managers earn $150K+ in their first year).
