About the role
The Regional Occupational Health Nurse supports the corporate Occupational Health Manager in managing health and safety across multiple sites. Key responsibilities include injury management, case management, training, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone triage following injuries.
- Case management of work-related injuries including accompanying employees to medical appointments and communicating with safety representatives.
- Provide nurse case management for ADA and FMLA compliance.
- Partner with EHS teams to ensure information is updated and accurate in JM’s Incident Management reporting system.
- Support the post-offer, pre-employment medical programs in the region.
- Perform occupational health audits of facilities in the region and elsewhere.
- Develop and implement plant-based wellness activities for the region.
- Provide oversight to plants in the region regarding their OSHA compliance requirements for occupational health programs such as Hearing Conservation and Respiratory Protection.
- Aid plants in the region with emergency response training including CPR, first aid, and AED.
- Monitor substance abuse procedures including drug testing and provide assistance to employees seeking treatment.
- Partner with plant teams to oversee third-party consultants and improve health and safety at JM facilities.
- Provide training and medical advice to JM teams in the region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all employees through various wellness initiatives.
Requirements
- Multi-State license to include all states in the region being supported.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing with a minimum of 8 years occupational nursing experience.
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation and related OSHA regulations.
- Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.

$93,900.00 - $129,100.00 Annual
