Phillips Medisize, LLC is seeking a Regional New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to support NPI project launches at our MPS WI Medical sites in Menomonie (PMM), New Richmond (PMNR), and Hudson (PMSCM). This position will be based in Menomonie with core hours of 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Travel between sites is expected, with mileage reimbursement provided. During equipment acquisition, up to 20% travel to global vendor sites may be required.

About the role

The Regional NPI Manufacturing Engineer will have a ‘home base’ and report locally but support regionally (PMM, PMNR, and PMSCM). This role involves liaising with project engineering, manufacturing, and customers to implement programs, provide technical solutions, and ensure projects meet customer and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a liaison with project engineering, manufacturing, and customers regarding program implementation (molding and/or secondary operations).
  • Provide technical support and solutions to manufacturing processes, managing yield, throughput, cost reduction, and quality.
  • Coordinate and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimal project execution.
  • Interface with customers regularly to resolve issues.
  • Facilitate communication between customers, sales, engineering, vendors, manufacturing, and multi-divisional groups.
  • Maintain cost control and profitability through collaboration with accounting, sales, and customers.
  • Implement technical solutions to meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.
  • Create and monitor project timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Proactively identify safety concerns and adhere to safety culture guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with 5 years of related experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or medical device manufacturing setting.
  • Strong technical skills in injection molding tooling, materials, manufacturing, quality, and product design.
  • Experience using CAD to evaluate tooling, equipment, and part designs.
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects.
  • Experience within quote design, tools/equipment, and parts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and meet company financial goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop future account needs.
