Regional Medical Director

About the role

This is a full-time position that combines administrative leadership and clinical work. The provider in this role will be the Regional Medical Director for the 5 locations in BlueWater's Southern Region, acting as the leader over the Emergency Departments in these sites, with each site-based Medical Director reporting directly to them. Additionally, they will supplement their administrative FTE as a clinical Smokejumper within their region, allocating their clinical time based on need.

Responsibilities

Specific accountabilities of the leader include but are not limited to the following:

• Mentorship and leadership support to direct reports
• Department meeting prep support and attendance
• Hospital CNO/CMO relations
• Involvement in local ACEP and state medical society work
• Quality bundle compliance
• Staffing management (high level)
• HR management (high level)
• Support of sales efforts at potential new sites
• New site implementation support
• Interim site-based Medical Director leadership (when applicable)

Qualifications

The candidate should be an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Leader, with the ability to act as a clinical Smokejumper within their region.
