Regional MDS Coordinator

About the role

The Regional MDS Coordinator maintains and processes MDS data, resident medical records, and health information systems in accordance with state/federal requirements and facility policies. This role is a key participant of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring quality of care, continuity of services, and individualized patient-centered plans and goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple MDS Coordinators with patient assessments to determine health status, level of care, and any subsequent changes.
• Provide ongoing education to staff.
• Update the MDS manual as necessary.
• Travel to various facilities as required.

Requirements

• Current active RN or LPN Missouri licensure.
• Regional MDS Coordinator experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and benefit guidelines.
