About the role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Regional Manager of Medical Practice Operations to lead daily execution across 8+ specialty healthcare clinics. This high-visibility role centers on coaching department managers, unifying clinical and administrative operations, and establishing scalable management systems that build long-term accountability while reducing operational reliance on company founders. This is a business operations role, not a clinical role. Local candidates only.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive healthcare operations experience with 3+ in a leadership role managing operations in multi-site healthcare, ambulatory networks, or specialty practices (physically different site locations)
  • Experience managing at least 4+ different site locations
  • Experience leading multi-site specialty practices, ambulatory networks, or diagnostic-driven platforms (e.g., Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, ENT, Gastroenterology, or Outpatient Diagnostic/Imaging Centers), with proven expertise managing integrated ancillary services, durable medical equipment (DME), clinical devices, and specialized testing workflows
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site department leaders, specialty clinical workflows, and integrated ancillary/DME services
  • Experience standardizing workflows, building KPIs/scorecards, SOPs, and driving accountability for multi-site operations
  • Demonstrated experience leading department managers and cross-functional teams across multiple physical medical facility locations
  • Experience creating training programs for all levels of employees from scratch
  • Highly skilled at partnering with physicians, interpreting financial/operational data, and translating metrics into clear team actions
  • Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks or a comparable EMR and practice management system; proficient in Excel reports and Power BI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Operations, or a related field

Additional experience (a plus)

  • P&L financial experience: managing operations against budgets, monitoring financial performance, or supporting P&L accountability
  • Expansion & integration: hands-on experience executing new-site launches (de novo) and integrating acquired practices

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Site Leadership & Development: Maintain a visible field presence across all locations; direct, mentor, and hold department managers accountable to ensure consistent operating standards and local problem resolution
  • Clinic & Ancillary Operations: Serve as the primary operational partner for physicians; optimize scheduling templates, clinic capacity, patient flow, and specialty workflows—including ancillary services and DME operations
  • Systems, Scorecards & SOPs: Establish disciplined weekly management routines, operational scorecards, and standardized SOPs to track performance and eliminate operational bottlenecks
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Finance, RCM, HR, and IT to align practice operations with revenue targets, compliance requirements, and staffing models
  • Expansion & Playbooks: Build repeatable operating playbooks to support future site launches, acquisitions, and platform growth

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $100K–$135K (higher for the right candidate)
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • 401k plan
