About the role

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading and managing a sales force of 10-25 reps while growing market share, volume, and dealer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching, leading, and developing Area Managers
  • Managing persons in outside sales within the assigned region, assisting with hiring and training new area managers
  • Presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made
  • Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned
  • Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships
  • Managing Area Managers through quality checks and other follow-up
  • Identifying and resolving client concerns
  • Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Developing and implementing special sales activities to reduce dealer attrition
  • Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
  • Traveling throughout the assigned territory (up to 75% of the time)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years sales management
  • High energy and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and various sales software applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related field
  • Qualified candidates should live in the region
  • Computer skills are a must. MS Office (Excel and Word)
