About the role
The Regional Manager is responsible for leading and managing a sales force of 10-25 reps while growing market share, volume, and dealer loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Coaching, leading, and developing Area Managers
- Managing persons in outside sales within the assigned region, assisting with hiring and training new area managers
- Presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential clients
- Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made
- Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned
- Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge
- Establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships
- Managing Area Managers through quality checks and other follow-up
- Identifying and resolving client concerns
- Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Developing and implementing special sales activities to reduce dealer attrition
- Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
- Traveling throughout the assigned territory (up to 75% of the time)
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years sales management
- High energy and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and various sales software applications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related field
- Qualified candidates should live in the region
- Computer skills are a must. MS Office (Excel and Word)
