About the role
The Residential Regional Maintenance Technician is responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs in several multifamily properties within a designated region. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience. Technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical are preferred, along with prior experience in general building maintenance or painting.
Responsibilities
- Address work orders and other repair and maintenance issues before they escalate into major problems.
- Utilize technical certifications to handle critical areas such as HVAC, pool and spa maintenance, and electrical or plumbing issues.
- Proactively address routine maintenance and cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities like the pool and clubhouse.
- Lead by example, assisting where needed and ensuring work orders are completed.
- Manage the Make-Ready board to ensure turnover work stays on schedule and maintain property grounds.
- Engage in difficult conversations with employees and residents, seeking to understand and resolve issues.
- Ensure a safe working and living environment by adhering to safety procedures and protocols, including handling hazardous substances and chemicals.
Requirements
- Full-time Monday through Friday work schedule, with occasional on-call hours.
- Valid driver's license to operate company-owned vehicles or utilize personal vehicle for work.
- Own tool kit to complete work orders.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various weather conditions and climates.

- Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment laws, including wage and hour, meal and rest breaks, OSHA, and human rights and equal employment opportunity regulations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong preventative and predictive maintenance experience.
- Experienced in budgeting, cost control, vendor management, and scheduling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
