About the role
Oversee the loss prevention strategy for assigned regions, ensuring safe and secure stores through the identification of loss and risk opportunities to reduce shrink and controllable losses. Plan and prioritize to provide an optimal customer experience across a portfolio of stores in a broader region or multiple geographic areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the regional Loss Prevention Department, including scheduling and performance monitoring of Loss Prevention Techs.
- Develop and oversee the Loss Prevention team to safeguard company assets from losses due to theft or fraud.
- Oversee the video surveillance program for the assigned region.
- Develop and operate an internal Loss Prevention audit program.
- Use employee training and audits to prevent merchandise loss; investigate known losses and coordinate with police on theft prosecution.
- Complete loss prevention and safety assessments, emphasizing teaching and coaching by offering solutions within company policy and procedure.
- Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Field Leaders to conduct investigations, operational assessments, and create action plans addressing areas of concern.
- Perform internal and external investigations targeting theft and fraud, providing recommendations and facilitating employment decisions, including criminal prosecution when necessary.
- Hire and train new Loss Prevention personnel; conduct or participate in interviews and investigations to reduce or eliminate loss.
- Reduce shrink and controllable losses, ensuring the safety and physical security of stores.
- Manage and maintain physical security controls and systems in all assigned locations (e.g., CCTV, MPS, Alarms, EAS systems).
- Represent the company in business-related legal activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred, or High School graduate/equivalent with an equivalent combination of experience and education in Security Administration, Law Enforcement, or military background.
- 3-5 years of experience in Loss Prevention.
- 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of Loss Prevention technology (e.g., CCTV, Burglary Alarm Systems, EAS).
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Some travel within the assigned area or region will be required.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor, especially in sensitive situations.
- Proven record of success in Loss Prevention with increasing levels of leadership responsibility.
- Comprehensive business and technical knowledge with strong organizational skills to oversee complex, high-visibility projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business managers.
- Experience conducting investigations into a variety of crimes (felonies to misdemeanors).

Pay
$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
