About the role

This role contributes to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by supporting the installation, inspection, and maintenance of rigging systems used in theatrical productions, live events, and performance venues.

Responsibilities

A Typical Day May Include:

  • Installation Support: Assist with the installation of theatrical rigging systems and related equipment. Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling equipment under supervision.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in structured training programs covering rigging systems, installation techniques, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Attend required safety meetings and job-site orientations. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Documentation & Communication: Complete daily timekeeping and required project documentation. Communicate progress, questions, and concerns to supervisors.
  • Team Support: Work collaboratively with installers, project managers, and other trades. Support efficient project execution through reliability, organization, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Comfortable working at heights and using aerial lifts, scaffolding, and ladders ranging from 40’-80’
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays
  • Valid driver's license

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in construction environments on rigging, carpentry or related trades
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of performing arts industry
  • Prior experience installing theatrical or entertainment rigging systems
  • Experience safely troubleshooting and maintaining all aspects of rigging
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training or willingness to obtain
  • Welding, electrical, or control systems experience
  • Experience with construction equipment lifts and fork trucks
  • Computer skills and aptitude, especially Word and Excel
