About the role
The Regional Industrial Engineering is responsible for the production technologies in the Americas region. Their objective is to train, develop, and ensure standards are followed. They also coordinate and execute regional engineering operations tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update the technology landscape in collaboration with the plants
- Regional process owner of specific technology
- Technical support by identifying/ selecting/ qualifying for new suppliers
- Organization of local process and technology transfer/training
- Technical development of regional existing production processes in alignment with GIE
- Benchmark and best practice sharing
- Planning and realization of investments
- Planning and extension of production capacity and new technologies
- Support as 2nd level the local plant on solving complex quality and technical problems from internal or external complaints
- Active planning and implementation of process optimizations and rationalizations
- Workplace design and time management
- Preparation and execution of IE related tasks for duplication/relocation projects
Requirements
- Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in engineering in a related industry (electronics/cable)
- Extensive knowledge in milling/lathe
- Basic knowledge of electrical connectors and connector assembly
- Basic pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge
- SAP management
- JIT techniques training
- Core Tools
- Preferrably experience in the automotive industry IATF 16949

- Compensation: Competitive salary of $90,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
