About the role

The Regional Human Business Partner Manager serves as the back-up to the Vice President, Manager of Human Resources Business Partners in their absence and has leadership and management responsibility over Human Resources personnel/functions in assigned regions of the Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business unit leaders, managers, and Human Resources stakeholders to provide coaching, consultation, and training on the alignment of business and people strategies while enhancing talent optimization, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Maintain a workload of assigned business units, balancing employee relations needs, leader support, compliance requirements, and project work.
  • Utilize critical and strategic thinking to enhance organizational effectiveness and act as a change agent for the Bank.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university. Seven (7) years of general Human Resources experience is required, including four (4) years in the capacity of a Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Manager/Director, Human Resources Officer, Employee Relations Manager/Consultant, Senior Human Resources Generalist, or equivalent role. A minimum of two (2) years’ direct supervisory experience is required. A professional Human Resources certification is required (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, etc.).
  • Certificate, Licenses and Registration Requirements: A valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
  • Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements: Effective time management and prioritization skills, proven skills in leadership development, employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and talent optimization, operational knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation regarding personnel management and labor laws, effective communication skills, proficiency with MS Office Products, HRIS, Human Resources software, and hands-on approach to completing administrative-level Human Resources tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Banking or other financial services organization strongly preferred.
  • Essential Functions: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Human Resources Business Partners supporting retail, back-office, and/or corporate functions. Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources policies, employment practices, and employee relations standards across all assigned business units and region(s). Exercise approval authority over investigations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, etc. within assigned region(s). Assist with the development, implementation, and assessment of strategic Human Resources Business Partner initiatives, projects, functions, goals, etc. Serve as back-up to the VP, Manager of Human Resources Business Partners in their absence (vacation, leave, etc.), and assist in the facilitation of Human Resources Management Training and the development of additional content as needed. Provide coaching, consultation, and teaching/training to managers and employees addressing areas including performance management, productivity and efficiency, conflict resolution, progressive discipline/corrective action, and engagement. Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of Bank-wide policies, procedures, and programs, and ensure consistent application across the organization. Investigate, assess, and track employee disciplinary actions and guide managers on the proper execution of employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans. Analyze data and reports to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resources and assigned Business Units. Provide on-going coaching, consulting, training, and guidance to direct reports, as well as Bank leaders, on overall employee performance (evaluations, PIPs, etc.). Assist managers with determining training and development needs for individuals/teams while planning, creating, and facilitating teaching/training opportunities for individuals, teams, and business units. Advise on performance reviews and pay/wage issues to include promotions, transfers, merit increases, and salary adjustments. Work with leaders to develop plans and action steps designed to achieve performance objectives, improve productivity, and increase profitability. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Understand, report, respond to, manage, and monitor the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank’s risk management program. Take on special projects, event planning, and other assignments as required. Coach and mentor employees on their strengths and areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback. When needed, select talented individuals from inside and outside of the Bank, hiring individuals whose capabilities match the needs of the organization in a timely and prudent manner.
