Regional Healthcare Manager
Regional Healthcare Manager – NYC / NJ: Steelcase’s healthcare expert driving new business and deepening relationships in the NYC and New Jersey market.
About the role
This is a full-time, field-based sales position that sits at the intersection of relationship-building, strategic selling, and healthcare expertise. You’ll serve as Steelcase’s healthcare subject-matter expert in one of our most critical regions, influencing strategy, driving new business, and strengthening partnerships with dealers, designers, and healthcare clients. Approximately 70% of the role is new-business development and field activity; 30% is existing-account management.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development within the healthcare market, identifying and converting high-priority opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with healthcare clients, dealers, and architecture & design (A&D) partners across NYC and NJ.
- Serve as the regional healthcare subject-matter expert, influencing customers and internal teams with market insight and strategy.
- Collaborate closely with dealers to deliver value-driven solutions and strengthen alignment across shared accounts.
- Develop and execute critical account strategies in partnership with regional leadership.
- Support growth in healthcare RFPs and expand Steelcase’s presence across the healthcare portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience with demonstrated success in sales.
- Proven healthcare sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to cover the NYC and New Jersey market.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based, highly relationship-driven role.
Desired Skills
- Established relationships with healthcare customers, dealers, and/or A&D firms in the NY/NJ market.
- Strong understanding of dealer networks and how to influence multiple stakeholders.
- Experience leading complex new-business development efforts within healthcare.
- Ability to operate as a trusted advisor and thought partner with customers and internal teams.
Working Style & Environment
- Hybrid work model with significant time spent in the field with customers and dealers.
- No set working hours; flexibility to manage time based on client and business needs.
- Regular travel throughout the NYC and New Jersey region is expected.
Pay
Annual base salary range: $117,700 – $147,100 – $183,900. Actual offer considers scope, responsibilities, experience, education, training, skills, internal peer equity, and market conditions.
