About the role
Join us as our next NOAM Regional Food Safety Manager, reporting to our Head of Quality for North America. You will maintain regional Food Safety Management Systems, develop Training and Knowledge Sharing Programs, coordinate audit programs and Food Safety System Management reviews, assist and implement Vendor and Raw Material quality related programs and review Quality and Food Safety Performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regional Food Safety Management Systems
- Develop and maintain global and regional Food Safety Management Systems
- Define and maintain regional guidelines and validate with all relevant partners
- Coordinate and assist regional implementation, change management and monitor progress
- Evaluate regional customer requirements and industry trends
- Develop go forward programs to meet customer and industry standards
- Foster regional implementation and audit compliance with particular focus to new acquisitions
- Maintain framework for quality document management (regulated documents)
- Develop gap assessments and feasibility studies for new standard requirements (e.g. ISO, FSSC 22000, internal Standards)
- Develop effective Training and Knowledge Sharing Programs
- Establish and review training material at regional level
- Provide, support and facilitate training for Food Safety specific to Givaudan internal standards for sites and auditors
- Facilitate Knowledge and Best Practice Sharing on Food Safety in the region
- Develop an coordinate Audit Programs and Quality Management Reviews
- Define and maintain Internal Audit Program following certified standards (FSSC 22000, Halal, GMO, Responsible Sourcing)
- Conduct audits
- Define format and establish regular Food Safety Management Reviews at regional level
- Drive Food Safety Performance
- Define regional KPI's, and tracking through tailored scorecards or dashboards
- Regularly update on food safety trends and improvement efforts to NOAM and Global Food Safety
- Provide food safety focus areas to attention of regional Operations Management team (CAPEX)
- Assist the implementation of Vendor and Raw Material food safety related programs
- Assist maintenance and evaluate trends Raw Material Monitoring and suggest priorities
- Support and participate in vendor audits
- Provide support in response to food safety related issues and crisis events
Qualifications
- Business or Technical University degree at least at bachelor level
- Related experience of 5+ years, at least 3 years in equivalent position
- Solid project management skills
- Understanding of food safety management systems
- Broad knowledge on order fulfillment, brief management, regulatory and innovation processes
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and product characteristics with good experience of dynamic industries with high complexity (SKUs, demand fluctuations, MTO, high innovation, rapid development cycles)
- Knowledge of main IT systems (such as Atlas, Athena, FPR, SAP, compliance engine, PII, GSD, RMQ, QDMS, IQT)

Benefits
Salary expectation based on technical experience: $92,000.00 - $130,000.00 usd.
This position will be based within one of the locations we have in the North America region (Cincinnati, Devon, Chicago, New Jersey).
