About the role

The Regional Float RN provides safe, continuous, and quality patient care across multiple settings by adapting to varying unit needs within a market-based team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent care in at least three facilities, ensuring patient needs are met effectively.
• Apply strong communication, customer service, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and computer skills.
• Complete necessary department-specific training and competency assessments.
• Interpret patient information to tailor care according to age-specific needs.
• Achieve certification in cardiac dysrhythmia and NIH Stroke Scale upon hire.
• Possess specialty certifications such as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, fetal monitoring, or breastfeeding, with preferred certifications within two years.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (required)
• Bachelor’s or BSN (preferred)
• Experience in specialties like Med Surg, Tele, Critical Care, ED, or Women’s Health.
• Current compact state licensure; specialty certifications are advantageous.
