Regional Finance Director - Manufacturing - Houston
Our client is a global manufacturer of highly engineered components serving the aerospace, industrial, energy, and defense sectors. Operating across North America and Europe, the organization supports leading industrial manufacturers through manufacturing expertise, technical support, warehousing, and supply chain solutions. The US business, headquartered in Houston, serves as the primary commercial, logistics, and customer support hub for North America, generating approximately $100M in annual revenue. Following a recent ownership transition, the company is investing in strengthening financial reporting, operational visibility, and financial controls.
About the role
The Regional Finance Director will lead all financial operations for the United States business, reporting directly to the Group CFO based in Europe. This executive will serve as the senior finance leader for the region, partnering with both US and European leadership teams to enhance reporting accuracy, strengthen controls, improve visibility into business performance, and support strategic decision making.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting, finance, financial reporting, treasury, compliance, and financial control activities for the US operation.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
- Oversee month-end close, balance sheet management, P&L reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
- Improve financial reporting quality, transparency, and timeliness across the business.
- Strengthen cost accounting, inventory accounting, and gross margin visibility to support operational decision making.
- Partner with commercial and operational leaders to provide actionable financial insights and performance analysis.
- Support the business through evolving tariff, trade, and import-related challenges.
- Drive SAP optimization and broader ERP improvement initiatives to enhance reporting and process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary finance liaison between the US operation and international corporate leadership.
- Maintain oversight of foreign currency transactions and multinational financial reporting requirements.
- Lead a lean finance function while remaining highly hands-on in day-to-day financial operations.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities proactively, helping leadership navigate an evolving business environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Strong U.S. GAAP expertise
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience (ideal but not essential)
- Advanced SAP proficiency (ideal)
- Experience with foreign currency and intercompany transactions
- Italian language capabilities (ideal, not essential)

Pay
- Base salary of $170,000 to $180,000
- Target annual bonus of approximately $25,000
