About the role
The Regional Financial Analyst will work with the Regional Finance Director, Senior Finance Analyst and Corporate Finance Department to manage the financial workflow and support operational and strategic objectives of the Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Prepare standard reporting packages for business leadership
- Month-end & Quarterly Close: prepare, format, and provide variance analysis on financial reports
- Ad-hoc financial analysis
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process
- Provide variance analysis on actuals vs budget
- Financial Analysis
- Perform financial analysis to evaluate performance
- Analysis trends, variances, Key Performance Indicators to inform decision making
- Assist the Finance/Operations manager with special projects as needed
- Data research using company financial systems
- General Ledger Maintenance
- Partner with Sr. Financial Analyst and our centralized accounting team to book and reconcile journal entries
- Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions
- Reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of finance Statements
- Accounting
- Cover necessary documents, contracts, and agreements to support invoicing
- Coordinate with client accounts teams on invoice and payment process
- Process Ownership
- Across all areas of support, suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- Superior organizational skills; candidate must possess the ability to maintain an organized approach in a multi-task environment
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Detail work is a major focus of the job, and needs to be accurate and well documented
- The candidate must have substantial computer experience including exceptional knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools
- Familiarity with advanced data query (Power Query, SQL) and visualization (Power BI) tools preferred
- Ability to extract data from various sources (SharePoint, Oracle, etc.)
- Team oriented, effective communicator that is adaptable and has a take charge attitude
- Professional written and oral communication skills are required, and candidate must possess a willingness to learn and to contribute
- Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly in order to meet deadlines
- Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the company, its management, the team, and the company’s customers
Education/Experience
- B.A. in in Finance, Accounting or other Business-related degree
- Minimum of 9 hours accounting credits
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Experience in the commercial real estate industry is desirable but is not required; we will provide industry specific training to support you in this role
