Regional Finance Analyst

The Regional Financial Analyst will work with the Regional Finance Director, Senior Finance Analyst, and Corporate Finance Department to manage financial workflows and support the operational and strategic objectives of the Business Unit. This role combines accounting and financial analysis responsibilities to support financial operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, conduct analysis, and provide insights that drive business decisions. This role partners with HR, Operations, Contract Management, and Controllership teams to promote consistency, streamline workflows, and expedite Month-End Close, Forecasting, AR, AP, and reporting functions.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare standard reporting packages for business leadership.
- Month-end & Quarterly Close: prepare, format, and provide variance analysis on financial reports.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process; provide variance analysis on actuals vs. budget.
- Financial Analysis
- Perform financial analysis to evaluate performance, trends, variances, and Key Performance Indicators to inform decision-making.
- Assist the Finance/Operations manager with special projects as needed.
- Conduct data research using company financial systems.
- General Ledger Maintenance
- Partner with Sr. Financial Analyst and centralized accounting team to book and reconcile journal entries.
- Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Accounting
- Coordinate necessary documents, contracts, and agreements to support invoicing.
- Coordinate with client accounts teams on invoice and payment processes.
- Process Ownership
- Suggest changes or improvements across all areas of support to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Superior organizational skills; ability to maintain an organized approach in a multi-task environment.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and well-documented work.
- Substantial computer experience, including exceptional knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Familiarity with advanced data query (Power Query, SQL) and visualization (Power BI) tools preferred.
- Ability to extract data from various sources (SharePoint, Oracle, etc.).
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive with strong communication skills.
- Professional written and oral communication skills; willingness to learn and contribute.
- Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly to meet deadlines.
- Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Genuine interest in the business, its agenda, and the needs of the company, team, and customers.
Qualifications
- B.A. in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related degree.
- Minimum of 9 hours of accounting credits.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Experience in the commercial real estate industry is desirable but not required; industry-specific training will be provided.
