About the Role
This position oversees all Field Operations within an assigned geographical region, providing management and leadership for the admin/operations department, including installation, service, field project management, and inspections. The role is available on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assure customer service requests, inspections, and installations are completed in a timely and professional manner, meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction goals.
- Support the sales team by providing site surveys and assisting in system proposals to ensure accurate hours and equipment are quoted.
- Ensure adherence to installation and service quality standards.
- Monitor and review project profitability and installation/service costs within the region.
- Recruit, hire, and train installation and service personnel.
- Promote a positive and team-oriented culture.
- Mentor direct reports and oversee day-to-day activities of installation and service personnel.
- Work with the Company Fleet Manager to maintain company-owned vehicles, ensuring longevity and appearance.
- Administer and enforce Company safety policies as outlined in the Safety Manual.
- Oversee technical training, certification, and licensing of Interface Technicians within the region.
- Collaborate with the PMO to ensure seamless completion of national account installations and projects.
- Work with the Service Dispatch team on service-related dispatching issues to ensure prompt customer service.
- Address customer escalations in a timely manner.
- Maintain regular contact with the 20 largest regional customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure branch and technician vehicle inventory is secure and managed per company policies.
- Coordinate the use of sub-contractors if required.
- Work with the procurement team to maintain the correct level of truck stock.
- Manage the branch sales and service handoff process for smooth transitions between teams.
- Monitor costs through regular reviews of overtime, supply costs, and "office time."
- Prepare reports for management, customers, or other stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; college education preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical field operations personnel.
- Understanding of profit/loss financial statements and how team performance impacts them.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and employee performance reviews.
- Experience collaborating with departments such as IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Sales, and Marketing.
- Strategic planning skills to mitigate potential risks.
- Strong problem-solving and problem-avoidance skills.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight if required.
