Regional Field Manager - Rapid City
About the role
Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a Regional Field Manager (Grassroots Engagement Director) to lead grassroots efforts in Rapid City. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, strong organizational skills, and experience in grassroots advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Rapid City, mobilizing them to take action
- Equip local leaders to advocate for changes consistent with AFP's principles
- Organize events for public engagement through phone calls, social media, and face-to-face interactions
- Stay in regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active
- Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and best practices
Requirements
- Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of state and federal public policy landscapes
- Self-motivation and organization skills to manage multiple events and activities
- Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, and/or political campaigns
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license for travel to meet with people in the area and across the state
- Enthusiasm to contribute to AFP's mission and vision

Pay
$50,000 - $65,000 annually. Bonus compensation may be available based on performance.
Schedule
A flexible and changing work schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
