Regional Field Manager

About the role

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a Regional Field Manager (Grassroots Engagement Director) to lead grassroots efforts in Wausau or North Central, WI. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate local leaders to advocate for change and engage the public on public policy issues.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in various parts of the state
• Motivate these leaders to take action and drive policy reforms that benefit all
• Organize events to engage the public through various methods
• Keep activists motivated, educated, and active through regular communication
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring compliance and best practices

Requirements

• Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly with diverse individuals
• Understanding of state and federal public policy landscapes
• Self-motivation and organizational skills
• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, and/or political campaigns
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for travel
• Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Canvassing neighborhoods and making phone calls for AFP priorities and endorsed candidates
• Motivating and coordinating volunteers

Pay

$50,000 - $65,000 annually, with potential for additional bonus compensation.
