This position supports one of twelve regions within the council service-area, developing and executing data-informed membership recruitment and retention strategies while meeting established metric goals and driving measurable growth outcomes.

The Regional Field Manager provides training, mentorship, recognition, and support to members and volunteers through all Girl Scout participation ways (e.g., troops, Juliette, programs, camp).

  • Address and resolve conflicts while escalating sensitive issues as needed.
  • Recruit, retain, mentor, and develop adult volunteers to support troops and troop growth.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations such as schools, community centers, and faith-based groups to increase Girl Scout visibility.
  • Provide consistent in-person support within the assigned region.
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance the Girl Scout Experience by connecting members to participation and volunteer development opportunities (e.g., trainings, programs, events, camp, member discounts).
  • Provide concierge-type support to youth, adults, and community members, ensuring inquiries are directed to the appropriate department and content experts.

  • Document member, volunteer, and lead communications using Volunteer Systems (Salesforce) in accordance with internal standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support GSEMA’s mission, values, operations, and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or a minimum of two years of professional work experience in membership organizations, sales, community organizing/engagement, volunteer support and coordination, or other relevant/transferable experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, public relations, and customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Effective presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in both formal and informal settings to diverse audiences (youth, adults, and community members).
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple events and projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, with the capacity to assess situations, navigate diverse personalities and environments, and implement effective solutions.
