Regional Facilities Director, 2 Hour Learning - $200,000/year USD

Key Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled site inspections across Northwest facilities against established criteria for cleanliness, HVAC function, safety protocols, security systems, signage, landscaping, furniture condition, and guest readiness — and ensuring findings result in verified corrective action
• Responding to facility incidents and urgent issues, coordinating contractor response, and closing work orders only after personally confirming resolution (urgent within 24 hours, standard within 1 week)
• Overseeing regional contractor performance against service agreements, terminating relationships with vendors who repeatedly fail, renegotiating contracts, and conducting direct accountability discussions around quality and budget
• Establishing a weekly operational cadence with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure consistent execution of routines across all campuses, eliminating reliance on ad hoc problem-solving
• Executing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC system updates, interior design refreshes, landscaping overhauls, AV and network infrastructure) on time and within budget, while maintaining normal school operations
• Documenting organizational standards and AI-powered procurement protocols (leveraging ticketing platforms, IoT and predictive maintenance tools, and centralized vendor sourcing) to ensure uniformity as new campuses launch and existing ones operate
• Delivering concise weekly written updates on regional facility quality, contractor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking

Basic Requirements

• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (strongly preferred) — or another Northwest location: CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, or ID — able to work primarily from the Bay Area campus with 30–50% travel across the region
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
• 5+ years of experience managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or school operations
• Demonstrated ability to enforce accountability with vendor-managed services on quality, cost, and service level agreement performance across multiple sites
• Leadership experience in multi-site premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare organizations serving discerning clientele
• Hands-on experience resolving critical facility issues (safety, HVAC, security, cleanliness) with measurable impact on customer experience
• Consistent written operational discipline: issue tracking, escalation documentation, vendor correspondence, weekly regional performance reports
• Proven use of contemporary operations tools (ticketing systems, IoT and predictive maintenance platforms, AI-supported procurement or planning)

• Building or overhauling a regional operations framework where the previous model depended on individual heroics instead of documented standards
• Terminating underperforming vendors and rebuilding a reliable regional contractor network
• Experience delivering capital improvement projects (HVAC systems, AV and network infrastructure, landscaping, interior upgrades) in active, customer-facing facilities
• Familiarity with AI-driven operational environments where automated playbooks, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine tasks so staff concentrate on decision-making
