Key Responsibilities
- Performing regular on-site inspections across Northwest locations using documented standards for cleanliness, HVAC, safety, security, signage, landscaping, furniture, and tour-readiness — and converting findings into confirmed corrective actions
- Responding to facilities issues and emergencies, coordinating vendor response, and closing work orders only after verifying resolution (urgent within 24 hours, standard within 1 week)
- Overseeing local vendor performance against service agreements, removing vendors who consistently fail to meet standards, renegotiating contracts, and conducting direct accountability discussions on quality and cost
- Establishing a weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure each campus follows consistent procedures, not ad hoc responses
- Overseeing major campus improvement projects (HVAC replacements, interior updates, landscaping, AV/networking) on time and within budget, with minimal student disruption
- Documenting enterprise standards and AI-supported procurement processes (through ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance tools, and centralized sourcing) to ensure uniform campus opening and operation
- Delivering concise weekly written updates on regional quality metrics, vendor performance, escalations, and capital expenditure tracking
Basic Requirements
- Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (strongly preferred) — or another Northwest location: CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, or ID — willing to work primarily from the Bay Area campus with 30–50% regional travel
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- 5+ years managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or school operations
- Documented success holding vendor-managed services accountable for quality, cost, and service level adherence across multiple sites
- Consistent written operational discipline: issue tracking, escalation documentation, vendor follow-up, weekly regional quality reporting
- Practical experience with current operations tools (ticketing systems, IoT/predictive maintenance, AI-assisted procurement or planning)
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Multi-site leadership in premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare networks serving high-expectation clients
- Experience building or overhauling a regional operations model that previously depended on individual effort rather than documented standards
- History of removing underperforming vendors and developing a reliable local vendor network
- Experience managing capital improvement projects (HVAC, AV/networking, landscaping, interior updates) in active, customer-facing facilities
- Familiarity with AI-driven operating environments where playbooks, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine work so people apply judgment
