Key Responsibilities
- Work with Critical Operations and Construction to implement effective processes addressing high-risk activities, including but not limited to electrical safety, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and contractor management.
- Implement environmental, health, and safety procedures and ensure compliance within their region with applicable EHS requirements.
- Aid sites with risk mitigation associated with multi-employer worksites.
- Analyze performance metrics.
- Create content and provide EHS training on various topics covered under 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926.
- Lead incident investigations utilizing effective root cause analysis tools and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Develop lessons learned from incident investigations and communicate them across the company.
- Assist teams in identifying and implementing performance improvements.
- Review and approve Methods of Procedure (MOPs) regarding safety (high-risk activities) and attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as needed.
- Lead strategic EHS initiatives within their region and provide portfolio-wide expertise as needed.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate compliance with regulations and conformance.
- Collaborate with construction, operations, and safety teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Support fundamental environmental activities such as Spill Prevention Control and Containment Plan (SPCC Plan), data collection as requested by the Environmental Compliance team.
- Support Sustainability site activities such as green teams, waste streams, recycling efforts as requested by the Sustainability team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Electrical Safety, Mechanical Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety, operations, or construction in critical environments; ideally in data centers.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
