About the Role
The Regional Director, Western Region is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, building and managing client relationships, and overseeing service delivery quality across the western United States. This position is both a business developer and a client services leader—equal parts trusted advisor to security executives and accountable owner of regional performance. The ideal candidate is deeply embedded in the Bay Area and broader West Coast security professional community, brings a blend of government service and corporate security leadership, and approaches client engagement through a consultative, relationship-first philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the GRS service portfolio within the western region, with initial emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley markets.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, leveraging an established network of corporate security professionals, industry associations, and referral relationships.
- Represent GRS at regional security industry events, conferences, and professional organizations—including SVSG, ASIS, OSAC, and comparable groups—serving as a visible, credible ambassador for the GRS brand.
- Lead consultative needs assessments with prospective clients, positioning GRS solutions against specific operational gaps and risk exposures rather than product-pushing.
- Author and contribute to proposals, statements of work, and pricing models in coordination with the GRS operations and subject matter expert teams.
- Partner with the SVP and GRS leadership on account strategy, pricing decisions, and pursuit prioritization.
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned GRS clients within the western region, ensuring service quality, client satisfaction, and contract retention.
- Conduct regular client business reviews, proactively identifying opportunities to expand GRS's scope of service and deepen strategic partnership.
- Act as an escalation point for operational issues, coordinating resolution with GRS's operations team and subject matter experts.
- Monitor client security environments for emerging risks or gaps that GRS may be positioned to address.
- Regional Presence & Community Engagement
- Maintain high visibility across regional security professional networks, industry associations, and peer groups in the Bay Area, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and broader western region.
- Cultivate referral relationships with complementary service providers, law firms, HR leaders, and other professionals who interface with corporate security buyers.
- Provide market intelligence to GRS leadership regarding regional competitive dynamics, emerging client needs, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in corporate security, intelligence, law enforcement, or related fields, with a demonstrated record of performance in senior roles.
- Prior government service in an intelligence, federal law enforcement, military, diplomatic security, or comparable capacity—bringing credibility, tradecraft, and professional network depth that resonates with security executives.
- Meaningful corporate security experience, including direct engagement with C-suite or senior security leadership at large organizations.
- Established professional presence and relationships within the Bay Area and Silicon Valley security community; active participation in groups such as SVSG, ASIS, ISMA, OSAC, DSAC, InfraGard, or equivalent organizations is highly valued.
- Direct experience with one or more core GRS service areas: executive protection, GSOC operations, intelligence/threat monitoring, physical security risk assessments, or workplace violence prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with senior security and business leaders; consultative approach to client engagement is non-negotiable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to author professional proposals, risk assessments, and executive-level presentations.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the western region and periodically to GRS headquarters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, international relations, business, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Advanced certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP, PCI, or comparable credentials.
- Experience operating within a matrixed or distributed corporate structure, including vendor/partner management.
- Prior business development, account management, or revenue-generating responsibility in a security services or consulting context.
- Familiarity with technology platforms commonly used in GSOC and intelligence environments (e.g., Kinetic Global, Ontic, Everbridge, AlertMedia).
Benefits
- Competitive base salary of $145,000–$165,000, commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based bonus program.
- Comprehensive benefits.
- The backing of Prosegur's global brand, infrastructure, and Fortune 500 client relationships—combined with the agility of a dedicated advisory services division.
- A leadership-driven culture that values security expertise, professional credibility, and long-term client partnerships over transactional metrics.
- Autonomy to build and shape the western region with the support of GRS national leadership.
- Access to a world-class portfolio of security and intelligence services to bring to your clients.
