About the role

Responsible for leading the development and maintenance of Immuta's core data catalog and governance platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data strategy and governance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Immuta's core data catalog and governance platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data strategy and governance practices
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and data science teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in data governance
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of data catalog and governance processes
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on data governance principles and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or similar roles
  • Experience with data catalog tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Glue, Azure Data Catalog)
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Experience with data modeling and normalization techniques
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Experience with data lineage and traceability tools
  • Experience with data masking and anonymization techniques

Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and data query languages
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with API design and integration
  • Experience with data governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 38500)

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually
