Regional Director of Operations
About the Role
As the Regional Director of Operations, you will be responsible for financial oversight, quality care, customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with company policies and programs. You will set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, leading and encouraging maximum performance and growth of the assigned facilities. This role is a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic and operational governance processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the organization’s strategic and operational governance processes as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Ensure company standards as a high-quality provider through implementation of quality systems, onsite inspections for quality care, and exceptional customer service.
- Assist facility administrators in establishing controls to manage and monitor operating and capital budgets.
- Analyze monthly financial data and provide input to the executive leadership.
- Collaborate with facility managers and regional staff to identify and address regional training needs.
- Promote the company’s Code of Conduct and inspire the same commitment in others.
- Interview and assist in the selection of facility leadership.
- Work closely with facility administrators to solve facility financial and operating issues, including PPDs and labor costs.
- Develop new business strategies to enhance and improve overall performance.
- Develop location managers and regional support staff to their fullest potential.
- Lead management meetings, ensuring focus is directed to both short- and long-term priorities.
- Ensure customer/client expectations are met relative to operational performance (e.g., service level agreements, performance guarantees, or government mandates).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a similar major (required).
- Master's degree (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a management role (healthcare industry preferred).
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated strategic planning and business development ability.
- A broad understanding of the complexities of healthcare systems.
- Exercise professional, appropriate judgment during high-stress situations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to facility locations frequently, with occasional weekend travel.
Physical Requirements
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling (with or without mechanical aids).
- Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures.
- Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards.
- Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols.
