Regional Director of Operations
Summary
A Regional Operations Director will lead hospital facilities across their region. Key responsibilities include overseeing Site Managers and Biomedical Engineering Teams, organizing workflows, improving performance, collaborating with customer stakeholders, and managing budgets.
What you will do
- Support Site Managers on operational best practices
- Plan and distribute preventative maintenance agendas for Biomedical Technician teams
- Meet with management team for coaching and guidance
- Partner with customer stakeholders to align asset management strategy with business objectives
- Build and maintain financial budgets for asset management operations
- Collaborate with operational leadership to set site-level goals
- Generate reports on performance metrics, preventive maintenance, inventory, KPIs, financial data, team utilization, etc.
- Determine and execute process improvement initiatives and cost-cutting strategies
- Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions for equipment downtime, parts availability, shipping methods, and inventory issues
- Ensure Biomed Team adheres to shop rules and guidelines
- Attend safety committee and environmental care meetings, prepare for Biomed Quarterly Review meetings, ensure audit readiness for Joint Commission visits
- Manage administrative tasks such as approving PTO, expenses, timecards, new job requests, internal promotions, and corrective action plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Special Training
- Requires a two-year degree in Biomed or equivalent training and/or experience
- CBET preferred
- 10+ years of experience in medical equipment service and maintenance
- 3+ years of service management experience

Required Work Hours
- Forty hours per week during daytime and evening hours
- Overtime may be required or permitted with prior approval
Reporting and Management Responsibilities
The Account Operations Director reports to the VP of Operations (Midwest Region) and manages Site Ops Leaders and their teams of Biomedical Technicians/Imaging Engineers.
