About the role
FlexXray is the leading provider of x-ray inspection services. We assist leading food manufacturers with regulatory compliance and food safety issues by identifying and removing foreign contaminants from their products. The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of inspection plants in an assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Formulates regional objectives and strategies aligned with the company's mission.
- Manages daily regional operations, ensuring smooth processes to maximize productivity.
- Oversees regional budgets, driving profitability and contributing to overall financial health.
- Ensures regional inspection plants adhere to company policies, maintaining standards across the board.
- Monitors regional key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluates performance of plant management.
- Evaluates operational efficiency and recommends improvements.
- Leads operation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control.
- Enforces operational compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Manages regional budgets and forecasts.
- Creates and presents timely, accurate, and complete reports of overall regional results.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams such as logistics, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless coordination and communication in the operations process.
- Leads and motivates teams across states, fostering a high-performing culture that prioritizes collaboration.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or related degree.
- Certifications: Certified Black Belt in Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in operations management. Food safety industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge: Operations Management best practices; profits and losses (P&L) a plus.
